Discover Bradford

Welcome To Bradford

Bradford is a cozy town that’s part of the municipality of Bradford West Gwillimbury, along with Bond Head, Coulson’s Hill, Deerhurst, Dunkerron, Green Valley, Newton Robinson, and Pinkerton. It’s got a bit of everything when it comes to housing options, from typical urban neighbourhoods to wide-open spaces with gorgeous views just outside town.

the details

Location of Bradford

Bradford is conveniently located near Highway 400, making it easy for commuters to get to downtown Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, and other parts of the west GTA quickly. If you prefer taking the train, catch a GO Train from Bradford Station to Union Station in Toronto – it’s a great way to get where you need to be.

Reasons You'll LOVE it:

Reasons You'll HATE it:

Growing Town

This growing community offers everything you need for day to day living including major retailers, a newer Leisure Centre, and schools for all levels.

Traffic

Like most cities and towns, Bradford can be a challenge to navigate during rush hour – particularly the old downtown area.

small town charm

With just 42,000 people, Bradford’s got a small-town charm perfect for those who love that community feel.

lack of local public transit

Like many smaller towns, bus routes and schedules are pretty lean in Bradford. Most people depend on a car to get around, but the town isn’t huge so it’s reasonable to walk a lot of places.

Outdoor Lifestyle

Bradford truly is a great town for people who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Scanlon Creek Conservation Area, close proximity to Lake Simcoe, and Simcoe County Forests are just a few places you can enjoy the outdoors.

in the "Snow belt"

Good for winter sports, not for getting to work or shoveling. Bradford can get a lot of snow because it’s at the southern tip of the Barrie Snow Belt.

Cuisine

Enjoy diverse cuisines from around the world in Bradford’s restaurants. Mexican food stands out, but you can also try Portuguese, Greek, Hungarian, Thai, Italian, Caribbean, and more.

Limited Night Life

Ready to bust a move? Unfortunately, Bradford doesn’t offer many opportunities for dancing or hitting the club scene.
